Fryer Management Franchise, PuriFry, who specialise in cleaning and filtration of deep fat fryers has selected young entrepreneur Carl Oxley to manage its expansion into County Londonderry and Tyrone in Northern Ireland.
Carl Oxley, 23, of Waterford Park, Londonderry, is a former tree surgeon but he is happy to swap his chainsaw for a career in the catering industry as he believes PuriFry has a bright future. With the high price of cooking oil and hotels, pubs, schools and hospitals facing significant financial pressures, Carl forecasts that a service which extends oil life and reduces costs makes an excellent business opportunity.
Carl Oxley, commenting on his new business said: “I discussed the PuriFry business with my father-in-law who has built his own cleaning business, Precision Industrial Services, to become one of the most successful service businesses in the province . He thought there was real gap in the market for such a service for the catering industry. Judging by the reaction I have had from the demonstrations that I have given I think he is spot on.”

PuriFry uses specialised filtration equipment to extract the oil at working temperature, thus avoiding expensive down time. It is then filtered, removing microscopic particles of food so you can actually see the oil change in colour, stored until the fryer is cleaned and returned for further use, removal of used oil can also be part of the service giving customers the added benefit of Environmental improvements.
